Are Studio was established in 2012 by Cecilia Bordarampe, a Los Angeles based designer. Individual style and expression is at the forefront of Are Studio's brand; their name is inspired by the present tense of "to be", and adheres to the idea that stylistic expression is unique to each individual 

The brand specializes in leather bags that are minimal and timeless, with a focus on sustainability and minimal waste. All of their bags are handmade in Los Angeles, with materials sourced from local family owned manufacturers and businesses. All leather used is a byproduct of the meat industry.
