Designer Profile

Hasami Porcelain

The designer of Hasami Porcelain, Takuhiro Shinomoto, established the brand in 2003 and began manufacturing beautiful porcelain dishware using historical Japanese techniques. Named after Hasami, a town in Japan known for its impressive pottery, this brand specializes in employing 400-year-old Japanese techniques that the earliest potters used. Shinomoto looked to combine the organic quality created by traditional Japanese production methods with contemporary dinnerware design. Individuality, usability, simplicity, and tactility are the key reasons that this brand and its processes of creation are special.
